1996 to ensure that leave for participation in service and training as a member
of the Australian Defence Force Reserves is one of the matters which may be
taken to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission for conciliation or
arbitration
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Workplace Relations Amendment (Australian
Defence Force Service and Training) Act 1999.
This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal
Assent.
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any
other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its
terms.
1 Subsection 89A(1)
Omit “subsections (2) and (3)”, substitute “subsections
(2), (2A) and (3)”.
2 After subsection 89A(2)
Insert:
Additional allowable award matter: service and training in Australian
Defence Force Reserves
(2A) Leave for service and training as a member of the Australian Defence
Force Reserves is an allowable matter for the purposes of subsection
(1).
3 Subsection 89A(3)
After “subsection (2)”, insert “or (2A)”.

After “subsection (2)”, insert “or
